Our Commitment

ETTE is committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards. Our goal is for our website to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and usable for all users.

Measures We Take

  • Accessibility is integrated into our internal policies and development practices
  • Accessibility responsibilities are assigned to designated staff
  • Staff receive ongoing training on accessibility standards and techniques
  • Clear accessibility goals and accountability structures are established
  • People with disabilities are included in our design and evaluation processes

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. ETTE's website substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Substantial conformance means most of the website meets the requirements, with some areas that may have minor exceptions or that depend on third-party content we are continuing to address.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act incorporates WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Our WCAG 2.1 Level AA target meets and exceeds that baseline.

Recent Improvements

As part of an accessibility review completed in June 2026, we made the following improvements across the website:

  • Corrected heading structure so assistive technologies encounter page headings in a logical order (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Marked decorative icons so they are no longer announced by screen readers (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • Increased the contrast of form field placeholder text to meet AA thresholds (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • Confirmed all images have appropriate text alternatives, forms use programmatically associated labels and grouped controls, and a visible keyboard focus indicator is present throughout (WCAG 1.1.1, 3.3.2, 2.4.7)
  • Verified content is reachable by keyboard alone, page zoom is not disabled, and reduced-motion preferences are respected (WCAG 2.1.1, 1.4.4, 2.3.3)

Supported Assistive Technologies

This website is designed to be compatible with screen readers (including NVDA and JAWS on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS), screen magnification at up to 200% zoom, and keyboard-only navigation. We test across common browser and assistive-technology combinations on Windows and macOS.

PDF Documents

Where PDF documents are provided on this website, we review them for accessibility and continue improving tagging, reading order, and alternative text as part of our accessibility program.

Known Limitations

  • Some third-party video content may lack proper captions. This content is hosted and controlled by external providers and is outside our direct control; we are working to address it.
  • Some interactive components have accessibility constraints due to third-party dependencies. We are evaluating alternatives.
