Public Cloud System
Public cloud systems are the most used method for deploying cloud computing. Storage and servers are owned and administered by third-party cloud service providers. All of the hardware, software, and any other supporting features are also owned and governed by the cloud service provider. Within a public cloud, cloud tenants share storage, hardware, and network devices. Services and account management are accessed using a web browser. Public clouds are frequently deployed for use in providing web-based email, storage, testing, online office applications, and development environments.
There are several advantages to using public clouds. Public clouds are less expensive. You do not have to purchase the hardware or the software. The only thing you pay for is the service. There is no maintenance. The service provider maintains the cloud. Scalability is nearly unlimited. In a public cloud, your business needs are met with on-demand resources. Public clouds are also highly reliable. They are made up of a vast server network that ensures against failure.
Private Cloud Systems
A private cloud is made up of computing resources that are used only by one organization or business. A service provider can host your private cloud or it may be located at your organization’s on-site data center. Either way, a private cloud’s infrastructure and services are always kept in a private network. The software and hardware are dedicated only to your organization. Because of this, private clouds make it simpler for organizations to customize resources that meet certain IT requirements. Due to business-critical operations that require enhanced control, financial institutions, government agencies, and other sizable organizations often use private clouds.
More flexibility is a major advantage of private clouds. An organization can customize the cloud environment according to specific business needs. Improved security is also a benefit. Resources are not shared with other organizations. This allows for higher levels of security and control. Private clouds also have high scalability and will afford your organization the same efficiency and scalability as a public cloud.
Hybrid Cloud Systems
A hybrid cloud is a combination of public and private cloud services. It will allow your business to maintain sensitive assets on the private infrastructure. There is still the flexibility to use public cloud resources when needed. Since some assets can be maintained on the public cloud, you only pay for private computing power as needed. Workloads can be migrated over gradually over a period which makes transitioning easy. The needs of your business will determine which service best suits your needs.
