Deafness/Hard of hearing

While watching any video, let’s say the video of an interview we depend on our hearing to be able to understand what is being said, now if this video doesn’t have captions or a sign interpreter how is a person that can’t perceive the information aurally supposed to understand what is being said? Captions are usually a response in this case as not all people with hearing loss can understand sign language, it is also a common strategy for people with hearing loss to learn how to read lips but if the person has an accent, doesn’t enunciate the words or is wearing a mask then reading lips will be very difficult if not impossible.

If you wish to experience a little bit of what the hearing loss process can be like feel free to try Starky Laboratories hearing loss simulator.
