IT Support Technician  

Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to help us support our clients both virtually and deskside via Help Desk. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a fastpaced, teamorientated environment troubleshooting both hardware and software. Frequent local travel is required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.  

Strong customer service skills and effective communication are critical qualifications necessary to succeed in this role. Hours for this position will be from 10:00 am – 6:30 pm Monday- Friday. Hours may be adjusted based on need.  

 Job Duties 

  • Support the Helpdesk by responding to trouble tickets submitted by ticket or phone 
  • Provide remote troubleshooting assistance in fastpaced environment  
  • Travel on-site to client offices on as needed bases for handson troubleshooting and emergency response 
  • Complete internal maintenance tasks as needed 
  • Support projects and new client deployments in the field 
  • Deliver 1-on-1 and group training to client as needed 
  • Occasionally lifting, moving, and transporting IT equipment

An ideal candidate will also have experience in two or more of the following areas 

  • Hardware Troubleshooting (Desktops, laptops, mobile devices, etc.) 
  • Software and OS Troubleshooting (Microsoft Office, Email Support, Windows, Mac OS, etc.) 
  • Printer Support, Set-Up, and troubleshooting 
  • Office 365/Google Suite Administration and Support 
  • IP Addressing, WLAN & LAN networks, switching, and cabling 

 Requirements 

  • Valid Drivers License 
  • Able to pass U.S. Government background check 

Highly Desired 

  • Washington, D.C. resident 
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English 
  • A+, Net+, Sec+ or relevant certifications 
  • Customer service experience  

Compensation 

A base salary plus the following benefits after three months: 

  • Vacation, 80 hours per year
